Our client provides the flexibility to work both from their office premises and remotely from home. This to maintain a healthy work-life balance while being an integral part of their team.

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for the preparation, execution and follow-up of files/projects according to the Public Procurement Legislation. You will be the point of contact for users and internal customers regarding advice on suppliers, problems with suppliers and/or ongoing contracts, editing files, application of public procurement legislation.

The assignment

As Public Buyer, you will:

• analyse the internal customer's demand and draws up the specifications on the basis of questions and input from users;
• define the selection and award criteria and is responsible for the technical procurement input;
• evaluate the tenders in consultation with users and internal customers;
• negotiate the best conditions with the suppliers;
• draw up the award report in consultation with users and internal customers.

Required knowledge and skills

• You have a Master's degree in a commercial or technical field or Bachelor's degree with a technical or commercial procurement background.
• You have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Category procurement in a public procurement role.
• You are driven by achieving results and believe in our credo 'underpromise and overdeliver'.
• You can strike a good balance between diplomacy and assertiveness.
• Technical knowledge and/or affinity within contracting and the semiconductor sector are additional assets.
