Experience required:

You will have prior experience in loan underwriting within bridging or development finance.
You’ll have the ability to build great rapport and establish strong working relationships with colleagues / brokers / solicitors / customers.
Strong communication skills are a must as you’ll be required to give credible reasoning for considering / declining deals.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel & IT literate with a good ability to adapt to new systems and platforms. The Bridging Underwriter will be responsible for:

Reviewing funding applications and proceed through the underwriting process to loan completion.
Carry out credit / fraud checks.
Instruct valuation reports / solicitors.
Administer live cases through to redemption of the loan.
Liaise with lawyers, surveyors, brokers and borrowers to ensure the loan and due diligence process progresses smoothly.
Conduct post-completion communication with borrowers to ensure their project is progressing satisfactorily. Working closely with the Head of Underwriting you will have clear guidance & objectives to progress in your career within underwriting and become a trusted relationship manager within your network.
