Graduate Landscape Architect (Play Space Designer) Role
Natural Play Space Designer with flare!
We are a small yet influential company creating habitats for play, connecting children with each other, their communities and the natural world. Based in a strawbale and timber workshop nestled in the beautiful woodland on the Dartington Estate, our clients include Kew, The National Trust and the Eden Project.
Whilst playing a central role in the creative development of the company, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and be involved in shaping the future of natural play.
Working closely with the Sales and Operations team, you will have the satisfaction of managing a wide range of creative work from initial enquiry through to presentation and preparation of construction drawings. As well as carrying out site visits and liaising with clients, you will be responsible for initial concepts, project development and preparation of construction drawings in coordination with the production team.
Ideally you will have
•Minimum of two year's work experience and an understanding of play industry standards
•A creative design degree (product design, landscape architecture, architecture etc)
•An interest in natural play and its relationship with landscape
•Excellent design drawing skills, confidence using CAD (Vectorworks, Indesign, Photoshop, Sketchup preferred)
•Experience of working as part of a team
•An imaginative and adventurous approach to design that draws on a wide range of influences.
•A friendly, communicative manner. You enjoy interacting with clients and being part of a team
•Some woodworking experience would be advantageous
•An excellent eye for detail and a systematic approach. You can manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines and budget
•Self-motivation, drive and enthusiasm - you like to see a job through from start to finish
Salary: £20,000 - £24,000 per annum (pro-rata). Hours: To be agreed
