Our Blue Chip Utility client is looking for a Cable Design Engineer, Cable System Engineer. It will be for 6 months initially, predominately remote but some travel to Glasgow when required. Please bote this will be via an Umbrella Company

Responsibilities

• Technical input in support of Offshore Export cable selection and refinement
• Co-ordination of cable route survey scopes and assessment of cable burial risk/opportunities across proposed routes
• Development of Inter-Array cable layouts and optimisation
• Provide definition of cable installation methodologies in support of project consenting inputs
• Assessment of cable rating constraints along both onshore and offshore Export Cable corridors
• Development of execution strategy for both Export and Inter-Array cables and development of project programme

Experience required.

Our client are looking for experience in the following:

FEED stage into design, ideally in HVDC.

Electrically design biased rather than installation manger experience.

Also will need to be knowledgeable in ratings calculations, earthing considerations and Electrical calculations rather than burial tool assessments. Please email initially
