We are currently looking on behalf of one of our important clients for a Financial Accountant (German Speaking). The role is a permanent position based in Bern Canton & comes with good office flexibility.

Your Role:

• Hold responsibility for day-to-day operations, including general ledgers & sub-ledgers (accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets).
• Preparate VAT statements & tax returns.
• Support monthly & annual financial statements in accordance with the Swiss Code of Obligations & Swiss GAAP FER.
• Act as a contact person for internal & external stakeholders (authorities, auditors, consultants, etc.).
• Provide support within projects (process improvements, SAP projects).
• Ensure & continuously improving an internal control system.

Your Skills:

• At least 3 years of professional experience in accounting with a focus on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable & General Ledger.
• A high affinity for IT & accustomed to handling SAP FI (SAP CO & S/4 HANA are also advantageous).
• Ideally experienced in carrying out associated tasks in accordance to Swiss GAAP FER.
• Any experience in consolidations is considered a plus.

Your Profile:

• Completed relevant University Degree with focus on Finance & Controlling or a similar qualification in the field of Finance & Accounting.
• A flair for numbers & an analytical & networked mindset.
• Dynamic, open-minded, confident, strong communication skills & a team-player.
• Organizational, performance-orientated & a hands-on attitude.
• Fluent English & business proficient German language skills (to at least B2 level) are a mandatory requirements. French language skills are also considered as highly advantageous.
