Job Title: C003904 - Level 3 Firewall and Guard Engineer
Location: Mons, Belgium
Start Date: 27 January 2025
Contract Length: 836 hours
Work Schedule: Full-time, 5 days onsite (due to the sensitive nature of the role)
Security Clearance: NATO COSMIC TOP SECRET (CTS) - mandatory (applications without CTS clearance will not be considered).

Security Clearance: NATO COSMIC TOP SECRET (CTS) - mandatory (applications without CTS clearance will not be considered).
Key Responsibilities
- Central administration and configuration of Firewalls, guards, and data diodes to ensure availability and functionality.
- Implementation and verification of Firewall policies and rulesets.
- Update and manage guard and diode configurations.
- Provide advanced technical support to resolve network security and operational issues.
- Collaborate with Incident Handlers to identify and remediate security incidents.
- Review security documentation and provide technical advice as needed.
- Firewall Management: Expertise with Palo Alto Networks Firewalls, Panorama, and other Firewall technologies.
- Scripting: Proficiency in Bash, Python, and Ansible.
- Networking: Advanced knowledge of LAN/WAN networking, network protocols, TCP/IP, traffic analysis, and modern operating system vulnerabilities.
- Troubleshooting: Strong ability to resolve complex network security issues.
- Operating Systems: Proficiency with Linux/Unix (*nix-based systems).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain complex issues to diverse audiences.
- Understanding of Information Security Practices (CIA triad).
- Experience in an international environment with military and civilian elements.
- Industry certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, MCSE/S, CISA, GSNA, or SANS GIAC, are a plus.
