We now have an exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the South West's leading employers as an ICA Technician for our team based in Totnes
The ICA (Instrumentation, Control & Automation) Technician will be responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of the operational remote plant and process control systems supporting operational activities. You'll deliver quality support to operations using expertise and experience in the complex control and process systems; which should balance and minimise the risk and impact to a busy operations team.
The ICA Technician will carry out works to the satisfaction of the planned maintenance delivery system, Maintenance Manager and the operations team as required. You will always adhere to current ISO, Health & Safety systems, procedures and policies. You'll be responsible for the delivery of cost-effective improvements to assets and systems; and the requirement to update any site engineering documentation which enables Operational staff to carry out support and maintenance of the works systems.
The Post Holder will assist Operational staff with the resolution of complex problems and undertake standby and callouts on an ICA / Electrical rota, the frequency of which may change in response to the business demands
[b]The Ideal ICA Technician:[/b]
*Experience of process control and electrical systems - preferably in the water industry*Time served apprenticeship supported by relevant formal qualifications e.g. City and Guilds, BTEC, ONC / HNC / HND*Proficient knowledge of working with Risk and Method Statements*Working knowledge of various communication drivers e.g. Modbus, Ethernet, Profibus and Radios*Experience of working with and understanding of PLCs to include management and programming*Knowledge of the following systems will be essential ProWorx / 32 and Schneider*Repair and calibration of a wide range of process monitoring equipment*Experience in calibration and maintenance of front line instrumentation and good understanding of relay logic and ability to maintain and repair*Ability to adapt to changing situations and target issues as change occurs
