Palo Alto Architect - 12 Month Contract - Hybrid (Dublin) - Outside IR35

Hamilton Barnes is looking for a highly skilled Palo Alto Architect to join the dynamic team of a leading consultancy in Dublin. You will play a key role in delivering essential network security services for a high profile client.

This hybrid role requires two days per week working in a Dublin office, providing flexibility while ensuring collaboration with key stakeholders. The role has also been signed off outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and architect comprehensive solutions leveraging Palo Alto Networks technologies, ensuring alignment with enterprise security strategies.
• Develop scalable and robust network security architectures incorporating Palo Alto Firewalls.
• Create advanced security policies, rules, and configurations utilizing next-gen features like App-ID, Content-ID, and User-ID.
• Oversee the implementation and integration of Palo Alto solutions with other security tools (eg, SIEM, VPNs, endpoint protection).
• Leverage Panorama and other monitoring tools to provide actionable insights and improve threat visibility.
• Automate network security tasks using Palo Alto APIs and Scripting languages (eg, Python).
• Document architectural designs, security frameworks, and solution roadmaps while ensuring compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements.

What You Will Ideally Bring:

• Proven expertise in designing and architecting solutions with Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama.
• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.) and concepts like NAT, VPN, VLAN, and advanced routing.
• Comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity threats (eg, malware, APTs, phishing) and mitigation strategies.
• Proficiency in Scripting and automation using languages like Python and Palo Alto APIs.
• Strong analytical skills to conduct root-cause analysis and propose scalable solutions.
• Hands-on experience integrating Palo Alto technologies with broader security ecosystems.
• Strong communication skills.
• Palo Alto Certifications (Nice to Have).

Contract Details:

• Duration: 12 months (View for Extension)
• Day Rate: Up to £450/€535 Per Day (Outside IR35)
• Location: Dublin 2x Per Week (Hybrid)
