For our client in Zurich we are looking for GSC Finance Consultant for 12-month contract.

Description:

The purpose of this position is to provide support across multiple teams for the following key areas:
- Day-to-day operations and monthly GSC (global supply chain) consolidations
- Collaborate with business partners and IT to ensure data integrity and facilitate accurate reporting
- Perform monthly close and functional spend analysis
- Budgeting/forecasting

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Support day-to-day operations and provide monthly consolidated results for Global Supply Chain from four ERP systems - SAP, JDE and C3ME across approx. 110 legal entities.
. Reconcile transactions and work with business partners to correct data with special focus on Freight & warehouse cost to ensure accurate reporting by function.
. Assist IT with master data maintenance for SAP cost centers.
. Perform monthly closing activities incl. accruals, interacts with the TBS to oversee the monthly accounting process. Support the functional spend analysis.
. Act as business partner for specific departments within GSC(global supply chain)/GDL (global distribution logistic).
. Assist the budget and forecast process and support the GSC/GDL team.
. Execute internal controls and reconciliations to ensure financial/data integrity and compliance.
. Support financial projects and program Agile within GMS Finance and External Supply.

DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS

Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise:
. Knowledge of global supply chain and distribution flows and related accounting/reporting.
. Knowledge of internal controls and financial reporting under IFRS and US-GAAP (SOX).

Leadership:
Position will need to work closely with business- and finance partners.

Decision-making and Autonomy:
Position will be expected to work independently with limited oversight.
Interaction
. Will interact extensively with GDL global distribution logistic) and other Supply Chain and non-finance personnel. Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) will be important to interact with colleagues across the world.
. Will serve as Finance Business Partner to some of the Above Site GSC teams.
Innovation
Position will require the ability to question the status quo and to come up with more efficient and effective ways to execute the related financial processes.
. Potential to support the GMS Finance Transformation process and overarching projects.
Complexity (Products managed, mix of businesses, internal and/or external business environment, cultural considerations)
. Highly complex organization, complex logistic flows through 100 Legal Entities, various ERP system

Must haves:

* Minimum Bachelor Degree in BA, Accounting or Finance and 5 or more years of relevant experience
. Experience influencing Global business partners
. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills (need intellectual "curiosity")
. Ability to translate complex financial concepts to individuals which are non-finance managers
. Knowledge of Sox controls and GAAP accounting principles, especially manufacturing accounting
. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint)
. Experience with ERP Systems (SAP, JDE, Oracle), TM1 (Fit4Plan) and Hyperion Financial Manager (HFM) is a strong plus
