NSX Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer/VMware NSX Engineer to join our clients Software Defined Networking team on an initial 6 month rolling contract. The role will also be fully remote and Inside IR35 for reference. This role itself involves working within the enterprise network environment, focusing on VMware NSX/NSX-T and Firewall engineering and support. The role will be a mixture of BAU and Project work within the NSX team.

Top Skills

• Firewall Engineering experience with an emphasis on Distributed Firewalls, as any troubleshooting within an enterprise-level environment would mean Engineers are suitable in terms of experience. Vendors such as Fortinet, Cisco ASA and Checkpoint would be most relevant
• Prior Cisco Network Engineering experience - ideally CCNA or CCNP Certified but not essential
• Hands on experience with NSX-T from an Engineering and support capacity within an enterprise-level environment. Any form of Configuration and Migration experience, as well as Troubleshooting, with VMware NSX would be a huge plus.
