Job Description
Digital Waffle are currently recruiting for SC Cleared Data Cabling Engineers to support a key client based in the North West of England. This is a 3-month contract role, with the possibility of extension. We are looking for 4 experienced engineers to assist with critical infrastructure projects within a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation & Maintenance: You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and upgrading of structured data cabling systems, including CAT5e, CAT6, fibre optics, and other related cabling solutions.
  • Compliance: Ensure all cabling works are compliant with industry standards and best practices, particularly those related to security and data protection.
  • Troubleshooting: Provide troubleshooting support for any issues related to data cabling, including fault finding and resolution of connectivity problems.
  • Documentation: Accurately document all installations and maintenance work, ensuring records are kept up to date for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers and site project managers to ensure the seamless delivery of cabling systems in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Security: As an SC Cleared role, you will be required to work in secure environments, adhering to all security protocols and ensuring confidentiality of sensitive data.
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Security Clearance: Current SC or DV Clearance is a mandatory requirement. Candidates without SC clearance will not be considered.
  • Cabling Experience: Proven experience in installing and maintaining data cabling systems (CAT5e, CAT6, fibre optics) within commercial or secure environments.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with structured cabling standards and network infrastructure.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Health & Safety: Experience working to health and safety regulations in a construction or engineering environment.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with a proactive approach to solving problems.
  • Reliable & Professional: You must be punctual, reliable, and able to work in a secure and professional manner at all times.
