Credit Default Swaps Business Analyst/CDS BA

We are currently recruiting for a business analyst to join the Credit trading team at an international investment bank in London.

The team are currently running a project to enhance their electronic trading offering within their Credit CDS desk and they require a BA to join the team and work on this initiative.

Role Description

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for the ensuring the team deliver a high-quality solution that meets the needs of the business both in terms of required functionality but also from a technical workflow perspective. Using industry best practices for documenting and communicating the requirements to both the technical team implementing as well as to the non-technical stakeholders.

We are looking for candidates that should be acquainted with business terms like Bid/Ask price, "central counterparty clearing house", "price taker", etc as well as specific terms referring to CDS like "seniority", "red code", "restructuring type", etc and proven track record as a senior BA within Front Office development teams.

Job Responsibilities/Role

• Work closely with business sponsors to elicit information to deliver the project milestones.
• To define the functional and technical architecture to achieve the desk requirements.
• Work closely with partner technology teams and collaborate effectively

Skills Required:

Essential:

• Expert-level product knowledge of credit products. Ideally CDS.
• Proven experience as a hands-on business analyst within a Front Office development team
• Demonstrate experience in capturing requirements for and working with the following topics (in priority order):
  • Fixed Income products (in priority order of Credit Default Swaps)
  • Market data
  • Trading venue engagement/relationship
  • Cleared trade flows (ICE clearing)

Desirable:

• Experience as business analyst in Fixed Income projects.
• Demonstrate the following essential key attributes:
  • Able to articulate and communicate effectively with stakeholders, primarily Front Office traders (but also middle/Back Office where needed)
  • with other project team members
  • Able to establish and maintain BA governance processes
  • Have a working knowledge of the agile (Scrum or Kanban) methodology
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Able to deliver results to tight deadlines
