Job Title: User Researcher

Length: 6 months initially, contract

Salary: up to £650 inside IR35

Location: South West England

Working arrangements: hybrid with 2 days a week on-site

We are working on a User Researcher contract position with a government agency based in the South west of England. They are delivering an exciting programme providing more useful and accessible data for government departments, businesses and the public.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, design and lead user research activities
• Deliver user research insights at pace
• Research with a wide range of users and effectively communicate user research findings to the team and the wider organisation, to influence decision making.

Candidate requirements:

• An active SC (Security Check) clearance
• Experience working as a User Researcher ideally in a government organisation
• Experience planning and delivering user research activities, using appropriate methods, working in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Experience of researching with a wide range of users, including users with additional needs and other hard-to-reach groups.
• Experience helping a team adopt user-centred practices, and ensuring user insight informs team decisions.
