Hays Technology is working with our client to recruit a Senior Data Engineer. This will be on an initial 4-month contract with an ASAP start.
This role will fall inside IR35.

You will be responsible for:

• Ensure data governance, including data privacy and security compliance are provided within the company.
• Preparation of undefined, abstract and complex data to generate insights.
• Design and develop models, integrations and data exploration using existing and emerging technologies (including Artificial Intelligence).
• Develop partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, service managers and external organisations, supporting their needs to achieve the objectives of the company.

You will need:

• Ability to construct new data models, and create complex measures to deliver valuable insight
• Strong analytical mindset to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights
• Excellent technical, analytical and project management skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical people
• Working in a strategic context, supporting planning
• Able to work within a team or alone on concurrent schedules with tight deadlines, delivering on time, to budget and to scope
• Creating outstanding working relationships with end users by exceeding their expectations with excellent customer service, communication and presentation skills
• The ability to work under broad direction within challenging and unpredictable environments, playing a key role in influencing strategic decision-making and to understand strategic consequences of those decisions
