Senior FPGA Engineer - Communications - £60k - Paignton (Hybrid)
Leading communications client is now searching for a Senior FPGA Engineer to assist in the development of their innovative product portfolio.
This role will develop, test and integrate new features and updates to FPGA implementations.
Responsibilities:
- FPGA implementation from internally generated design or external documentation.
- Support and improve existing Embedded microblaze firmware applications.
- Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of FPGA design processes and practices.
- Provide supply chain and client services with engineering support.
- Design, test and qualify products.
- Construct clear documentation to support the integration, verification, configuration and use of FPGA features.
Key Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills and team player who is highly collaborative.
- Xilinx Microchip experience (Ideally Xilinx Microblaze)
- Strong experience with VHDL (project specification, development, testing and Scripting)
- FPGA firmware programming skills using VHDL/HDL in a high-speed logic environment. (+4 years)
- Strong Embedded firmware skills.
- Previous experience with Real Time applications running under Linux or Windows.
- Desirable: Previous experience with Digital Modulation techniques, GNSS or Singal processing.
This role provides a base salary of up to £60,000 plus excellent benefits.
In terms of working structure, this role is flexible with occasional days in their Paignton office.
