The Opportunity:

I am currently looking for a number of qualified electricians who would be interested in working on trunk road and smart motorway schemes as a Highways Electrician.

This will involve conducting installation and maintenance activities on a variety of roadside electronic equipment as well as the underlying electrical infrastructure (CCTV, ANPR, Sensors, etc.).

This position would suit any qualified electrician who is willing to undertake roadside and night working, but special consideration will be given to those with existing traffic signal, street lighting, CCTV or National Highways experience.

Skills and Experience:

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification
• City & Guilds 2396 Electrical Installation Part 1 & 2 and 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification
• Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
• Exposure to roadside working is highly desirable (Highways, Street Lighting, EV charging, CCTV, etc.)
• Current G39, HERS8, NRSWA, NHSS8 qualification would be beneficial
• Full drivers licence and willingness to undertake night working
