Data Delivery Manager

You need to have a proven track record in managing complex data projects, a deep understanding of modern data platforms, and strong leadership skills to ensure seamless execution of our strategic objectives.

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Data Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of the strategic data vision and roadmap. This critical role involves overseeing the efficient and effective delivery of a growing pipeline of data products and services, while managing the transition from a Legacy platform to a cutting-edge technology stack.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Delivery: Drive the implementation of the organization's strategic data vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and priorities.
  • Platform Transformation: Lead the migration from Legacy data systems to a modern technology stack, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and maximum efficiency gains.
  • Pipeline Management: Oversee the delivery of a growing pipeline of data products and services, ensuring quality, timeliness, and alignment with stakeholder expectations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritize initiatives, and communicate progress.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate and optimize resources across teams, ensuring capabilities align with delivery needs.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with platform migration and delivery of data products, maintaining a focus on business continuity.
  • Process Optimization: Establish and refine processes for data delivery to improve efficiency, scalability, and quality.
  • Leadership and Mentoring: Lead cross-functional teams, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure alignment and delivery excellence.
  • Performance Tracking: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress, identify bottlenecks, and continuously improve delivery.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience:
    • Proven experience in data delivery management, with a focus on large-scale platform migrations and implementing modern data stacks.
    • Strong background in managing data projects, including pipelines, analytics, and governance.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Familiarity with Legacy data platforms and modern technologies, such as cloud-based data solutions, data lakes, ETL tools, and advanced analytics platforms.
    • Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in iterative delivery environments.
  • Leadership Skills:
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
    • Experience managing and motivating teams during periods of significant change, such as platform migrations.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Strong communication skills to engage effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders, bridging the gap between strategy and execution.
  • Problem-Solving:
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate challenges and drive innovative solutions during delivery.
  • Qualifications:
    • Degree in Computer Science, Data Management, Business, or a related field. Relevant certifications (eg, PMP, Agile, or cloud certifications) are a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with popular data stack technologies like Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and best practices.
  • Proven success in delivering data services in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
