A private equity-backed, leading machinery manufacturing business is seeking an experienced IT Manager/Engineer.
This pivotal role will oversee and enhance the company's IT infrastructure, supporting rapid growth and operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment.The IT Manager/Engineer will lead the modernisation and integration of IT infrastructure, unifying systems from recent acquisitions into a Microsoft Azure cloud environment. This role is essential to rebuilding the business infrastructure to support its larger scale, enhance operational efficiency, and establish a platform for future growth.
Key Responsibilities
- IT Infrastructure Integration: Develop and implement a plan to integrate IT systems from recent acquisitions into a unified Microsoft Azure environment.
- Cloud Environment Management: Design, deploy, and maintain Azure infrastructure, ensuring it aligns with security, performance, and scalability requirements.
- System Migration: Manage the transition from Legacy systems (eg, Sage, Protean) to Microsoft Business Central, ensuring minimal operational disruption.
- Strategic IT Development: Work closely with the CFO and management to align IT initiatives with strategic growth plans, including preparation for potential trade sales.
- Vendor and Partner Management: Optimise relationships with third-party IT providers to maintain service quality and control costs.
- Team Leadership: Build and manage an IT team to support the integrated infrastructure, providing ongoing technical and operational support.
Qualifications and Experience
- Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure architecture and administration, with hands-on experience in system integration and migration.
- ERP and CRM Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central and Protean, particularly in a multi-location, acquisition-driven environment.
