Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an Director of people to join our client based in Crewe. This role is offered on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 3 days a week required onsite.
The ideal Director of People will be responsible for developing and implementing the organisation's workforce strategy, policies, provision, procedures and guidance, and they will be responsible for designing and implementing HR, OD and Culture across the organisation. The Director of People will lead on talent management, and retention to ensure that the organisation is able to respond to the changing nature of working practices in the future
The duties of the Director of People will include:
Providing clear leadership on all matters of the organisation's workforce strategy, including workforce planning, equality, diversity and inclusion and cultural change
Developing plans across HR, OD and customers services which support implementation of the organisation's corporate plan
Providing leadership by developing and shaping the organisation's culture to support the organisation's wider transformation
Directing and supporting organisational design, evaluating the organisational structure and design to achieve corporate plan priorities through workforce planning and talent management strategies
Being responsible for all aspects of HR including organisation development, workforce planning, talent development, diversity and inclusion, employee value proposition, employee relations and more
Providing advice and guidance to the senior management teams on policy, strategy, statutory and regulatory practices relating to HR
Providing professional advice to the Chief Executive, the Corporate Leadership Team, and colleagues on new initiatives and better ways of achieving the organisation's strategic goals
The Director of People will ideally have:
CIPD Level 7 or equivalent experience
Experience of working at a similar level is essential
Experience of working in the public sector is essential
Experience in implementing strategic change to people management and the organisation
