Research Officer - 6mth contract.
Hybrid working - 2 days per week office based in Newport - 161pd inside IR35
Must be eligible for SC clearance
As a Research Officer in the Business Survey Research and Development team, you will be responsible for designing and conducting research that will enable the client to collect high quality business data while delivering an excellent experience to business survey respondents. You will be part of, and contributing to building a centre of expertise in online data collection for business survey
TYPICAL ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
You will conduct research for high profile projects such as the Future of Business Surveys Statistics, working closely with others in your team and wider to enable change and innovation in the delivery of a business data collection design that aligns to Government Digital Service standards, best practice and meets our internal and external users diverse needs.
Duties
You will develop your expertise in online data collection design and collaborate with other researchers.
Conducting business-centred research that might span multiple customers and surveys, drawing on relevant expertise and experience from within your direct team and across the organization
Developing and testing of data collection instruments
Conducting analysis of quantitative, and/or qualitative, data and write up results
Liaising with, and present findings to, internal and external customers
Planing quantitative, and or qualitative, research within a set budget and timetable
Being an integral member of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver and communicate data collection research, designed with innovation at the heart and ensuring alignment with the team's and project goals and milestones
Building effective networks and relationships across the organisation to maximise efficiency and value of delivery
Learning from, and be a contributing member of the business survey research community
Experience required:
Experience of conducting, analysing and disseminating qualitative or mix methods data collection research
Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
Strong analytical knowledge, including the planning and practical application of research and analysis
