Master Data Management and Governance Lead - 6 months - OutsideIR35
My client is an FMCG company who are in the process of maturing their data management capabilities and require a Master Data and Governance Lead to join and be responsible for designing, deploying and leading master data management, data integrity and data governance processes for critical business data.
The frameworks and role allocations have been assigned so this will be a role where you will hit the ground running and take over the work of an outgoing resource.
The role will involve a lot of stakeholder management due to the low maturity of the function within the business in its current state and will also require a certain amount of data analysis using MS Power Platform tools (alongside MS Excel).
As a lead, the role will involve setting up and running a small team of data analysts as part of a broader data and analytics function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business data owners, stewards and custodians to deploy and execute master data processes for key data entities.
- Set up and run an offshore team to execute master data changes against agreed SLAs.
- Ensure data catalogs and glossaries are maintained and used to define data against business standards.
- Establish and run cross functional working groups to manage data integrity issues and changes as they arise
- Set up and publish data integrity scorecards that measure data integrity against business rules.
- Engage with digital blueprint projects to ensure data integrity is maintained and improved through the delivery of new solutions and capabilities.
- Maintain and raise awareness over a register of business data owners, stewards and custodians.
- Work with identified owners, stewards and custodians to help them manage data within their functional domains for the benefit of their colleagues and the enterprise.
- Support the Data Protection officer with data privacy requests.
Technical Skills:
- CDMP Certification and/or Experience of enterprise data management frameworks such as DAMA.
- Master data management processes, controls and solutions.
- Data quality management processes, controls and solutions.
- Deploying data governance framework and supporting artefacts.
- Understanding and experience of GDPR related processes and policies.
- Deployment and management of data management applications.
- Demonstrable understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes and metrics.
- Demonstrable understanding of technology led change projects/programmes.
- Understanding of MS Power Platform highly beneficial
The role is a hybrid model with time split between London and Oxford (1 day a week in Oxford). There is a 2-year scope of work but the contracts will be written in 6 month increments OutsideIR35.
