We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join a public sector organisation in Glasgow. In this pivotal role, you will manage all aspects of the finances, including budgeting, financial reporting, and overseeing the financial performance of subsidiaries.
Key Responsibilities:- Support senior leadership in developing long- and short-term business plans, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and financial agreements.
- Lead the finance team, providing day-to-day management, guidance, and financial control.
- Ensure subsidiaries meet financial commitments and provide regular performance reports.
- Oversee the preparation of annual accounts, management reports, and cashflow forecasts.
- Support the board with financial decision-making and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Essential Criteria:
- Recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA, ICAS, ICAEW, ACCA, or CIPFA).
- Significant senior-level experience in both public and private sector financial management.

- Experience working with senior leaders and Boards, especially in public sector contexts.
