Level 3 Mechanical Engineer

NXT is proud to be working in partnership with an international manufacturer as we recruit for a Level 3 Mechanical Engineer.

Job Type: Permanent
Hours: Permanent position working Monday- Thursday 7.30am -16.00pm & 06.00am -13.00pm on a Friday during training

Following shift pattern once training complete:

* Monday - Thursday 6.00am – 2.00pm & Friday 6.00am – 1.00pm

* Monday - Thursday 2.00pm – 10.30pm & Friday 1.00pm – 6.00pm
* Shift allowance will be paid during training period

Salary: Experience dependent

The role:

To provide engineering support to ensure the effective maintenance of all machinery, work equipment, and facilities across the site.

Key aspects:​​

* Participate in reviewing maintenance, electrical, mechanical, and breakdown records to make sure the preventive maintenance schedule matches the breakdown history.

* Carry out breakdown repairs on machinery/work equipment/facilities as required via requests from operational supervision or as directed by the Engineering and Maintenance Department supervision

* Carry out preventative maintenance service tasks on machinery/work equipment/facilities as indicated on the departments maintenance schedule system

* Carry out installation work as and when required to do so as requested by the Engineering and Maintenance Department supervision

* Assist in project work as requested by the Engineering and Maintenance Department supervision

* Follow at all times the appropriate safe systems of work/maintenance as provided and displayed within the department

* Follow all company rules and standards as indicated in the current company handbook

* Comply with all reasonable requests as directed by the Engineering and Maintenance Department supervision

* Work a reasonable level of out of normal operational hours overtime to allow the various tasks to be completed

* Participate as an effective part of a team assisting others as requested by other engineering staff

* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the Department and within the Company as a whole
