Job Summary

It is a 6-month contract role with 2 days a month in the Shannon office. Cloud Operations Engineer to work in BAU topics across a multi cloud environment and support Cloud project work and move to cloud tasks.

Required: -
Experienced with infrastructure as code and deployment automation.

- Strong experience with writing infrastructure as code with any of CDK, Terraform, and or CloudFormation (or other equivalent).

- Strong experience with automated deployment tooling with any of AWS Code Pipeline/Build (etc), Azure DevOps, and or GitLabCi (or other equivalent).

- Very good understanding of multiple cloud services in AWS and or Azure.

- Experience with design of cloud solutions in AWS and or Azure.

- Reasonable familiarity with Servers operating systems, networking, data stores, databases, and identity access management.

-Certification in cloud computing to at least associate or equivalent level in AWS, Azure.

Role and Responsibilities

Experience in Developing infrastructure-as-code (IaC) automation (eg, Terraform) to create IaC patterns and modules to provide acceleration to development end users

Utilize modern software DevOps and CI/CD tooling, such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, ADO, etc., to provision infrastructure resources and prevent configuration drift.

Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless continuous integration of code and deployment as well as promoting disciplined code versioning practices.

Familiarity and experience with Terraform and state management.

Collaborate with product, architecture, and other stakeholders to ensure cloud technologies are designed in accordance with product roadmaps and well architected frameworks.

Investigate and resolve complex cloud infrastructure related issues, recommend and develop solutions to issues and create documentation of reengineering processes as required.

Participate in IT Service Management (ITSM) change, incident, and general requests for cloud platform support for business as usual (BAU) operations.

Contribute to cloud operation disciplines and improve processes and own such as OS life cycle management, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, certificate management, and technical documentation, etc.
