£72.57 an hour Umbrella OR £63 an hour PAYE Inside IR35
12 Month Contract initially.
This is a great opportunity to work within one of the UK's leading Defence organisations based In Barrow in Furness.
This role forms part of a newly created team under the project relationship that will lead on the mobilisation and integration of several elements that will provide Australia with the ability and efficiency equal to Barrow, to manufacture and produce nuclear powered submarines.
This role looks at Infrastructure specifically, with a small number of peers who will perform the same role focused on the other areas bringing together the entire integration of capability. You will have line management responsibility of one employee in the form of a Technical Author who will assist on the procedure to write requirements and assure design.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to develop your career within the defence industry due to exposure gained across multiple business areas.
Submarines Sector experience is advantageous but not necessary; however you should bring with you either some experience of technical requirements, or experience from an infrastructure role
Your success in this role will come from your ability to be inquisitive and persuasive, identifying the relevant experts on site, negotiating to get some of their time, using interpersonal skills to tap into their expertise and producing a strong requirement or technical response.
NOTE - would be in frequent contact with team in Australia so ability to start early would be extremely beneficial
Knowledge:
Ability to persuade and influence senior internal stakeholders.
Background in understanding and interpreting Technical Requirements and/or knowledge of Infrastructure.
Skills:
Microsoft Office
Knowledge of Project Management (tools, techniques, practices
Strong communication and diplomacy skills.
