The successful candidate will hold responsibility for the strategic and operational management of the Trust's Digital Information Systems, including RIS, PACS, IEP, and other integrated software systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the PACS team to ensure continuity of service at all times.
  • Develop in-depth technical knowledge of the RIS/PACS systems architecture within the organisation and the regional health network, serving as the primary technical expert on PACS/RIS.
  • Collaborate with Digital Services (DS) managers to support first-line technical assistance and engage in second-line technical support and troubleshooting alongside the DS Technical team.
  • Oversee planned maintenance and system upgrades.
  • Work with RIS/PACS vendors to maintain the system architecture.
  • Provide out-of-hours IT support for Radiology when necessary.
  • Ensure that all local documentation, databases, system configuration documents, and related information remain up-to-date.
  • Partner closely with the Trust's Digital Services department to deliver seamless Radiology services.
  • Liaise with the Radiology Board and Department Heads to advise on and support the implementation of an effective IT strategy, ensuring a smooth and safe digital experience for patients attending Radiology.
