Our client are a top tier consultancy looking for an Azure Data Architect on a 6 months contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement data architecture strategies to support Business Intelligence and analytics needs.
• Architect and deploy data solutions in Microsoft Azure, leveraging Azure Synapse Analytics for data warehousing.
• Design and build ETL pipelines and data processing frameworks using Azure Data Factory and Databricks to ensure efficient data flow.
• Develop and manage data models, schemas, and metadata to support data analytics and reporting.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into robust data architectures.
• Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Provide guidance on Spark-based data processing frameworks for Real Time and batch data.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines to enhance performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and other team members to ensure seamless data integration and accessibility.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven experience as a Data Architect, with a strong focus on Azure Cloud services.
• Expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, Databricks, Spark, and ETL processes.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience in creating complex data models and schemas.
• Experience with data lakes and data warehousing principles, with proficiency in designing large-scale data storage and retrieval solutions.
• Solid understanding of data governance, security best practices, and data management principles.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize Spark jobs for performance improvements.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
