Deskside Support Engineer L3 - Project Support

We have a fantastic new opportunity for a L3 Deskside Support Engineer with Project experience to join a large IT organisation, based on a customer site in Newbridge, County Kildare.


The successful candidate should have advanced Wintel technical competencies, at home picking apart applications, working in PowerShell and performing deep filesystem troubleshooting. You should possess good communication skills, have a strong appreciation for documentation, and be willing to collaborate with IT support teams and project stakeholders.

The candidate will be responsible for effective documentation, review and conformance to company standards. Ensure there is clear understanding of roles and responsibilities and risks associated with any project. The Project Coordinator will be a conduit between the Business and Customer to ensure all elements of both programs are integrated into standards and the right groups engaged as and when required.


*Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
*Desktop and Infrastructure support eg Switches, Servers, patching, etc.
*Ability to work as part of larger teams, and in isolation
*Must have the ability to remain composed under high pressure situations
*Must have the ability to address and diplomatically resolve interpersonal conflict if necessary
*Strong knowledge of technology policy, process and procedure development and implementation
*Previous Experience of working as PCO
*Strong customer service skills essential
*Strong troubleshooting and Analytical skills as well as excellent multi-tasking abilities required.
*Excellent working knowledge of MS Windows 10, 8, XP
*Experience in supporting and troubleshooting MS Office applications.
*Printer knowledge


*Windows 10 experience
*ITIL certification
*Strong interpersonal skills and high awareness of customer needs
*Good communication skills, both written and verbal
*HP Service Center


*The resource should have good understanding of project management, and display good technical knowledge and understanding of desktop and infrastructure support
*Take ownership of projects and adherence to client processes
*Provide weekly updates to stakeholders highlighting risks and issues
*Be skilled at troubleshooting implementation roadblocks
*The resource will provide post implementation hyper care support if required and represent BT on calls/meetings.
*Resource will provide operational turnover reports and documentation on completion of projects and conclude with Lessons learned.
*Liaise with site engineering teams for infrastructure and technology tasks related to Engineering and automation activities.
*Ensure standards are maintained and support is aligned to operational support model.
*Must be familiar with and demonstrate the ITIL operational framework for IT.
