Digital Waffle is so excited to have partnered with the most innovative aviation company in Germany, looking for their next Flight Control Engineer. You won't be working on simulations, your product will actually be flying so a physical understanding is vital!
They are looking for someone with strong flight software implementation experience and a deep understanding of control theory and flight algorithms. Once the design has been implemented and tested, it will go to the flight team to discover how the code you have produced works in a real life/flight scenario.

This position requires a security clearance (Ü2-Sabotageschutz) with approval based on specific residency requirements.

They are looking for someone with strong flight software implementation experience and a deep understanding of control theory and flight algorithms. Once the design has been implemented and tested, it will go to the flight team to discover how the code you have produced works in a real life/flight scenario.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Design the functionality of the flight control system
- Review and approve the system requirements
- Write the code that makes it all work
- Integrate your code with other systems on the aircraft
- Generate the final code for use on the aircraft
- Continuously integrate and test your code
- Track progress and report to key stakeholders
- Qualify the final flight control software for use
Who You Are:
- You're a Master's student or graduate in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
- You have hands-on experience with flight control systems
- You're an expert in control theory, flight control concepts, and the flight dynamics of electric vertical takeoff and landing vehicles (eVTOLs)
- You're an expert in MATLAB/Simulink and C programming
- Use Polarion and GIT for version control (bonus)
Important Note:
This position requires a security clearance (Ü2-Sabotageschutz) with approval based on specific residency requirements.

- Initial starting salary of between €60k and €70k depending on experience (with a view for this to increase in line with planned business growth)
