Sybase DBA - Surrey - £700 a Day (Umbrella) - 12 Month Contract
Position: Sybase DBA
Location: Surrey
Rate: £700 a Day (Umbrella)
Contract Length: 12 Months
Key Skills & Experience Required:
Sybase: Extensive hands-on experience with Sybase database administration.
DBA: Proven track record as a Database Administrator.
Oracle: Knowledge of Oracle databases is essential.
SQL Server: Familiarity with SQL Server is highly desirable.
Support: Strong background in providing database support.
ITIL: Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.Highly Advantageous:
Previous experience in the financial services industry.Role Overview: As a Sybase DBA, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of Sybase databases within a financial services environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability of database systems. Your knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server will be invaluable in supporting our diverse database environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain Sybase databases, ensuring their performance, availability, and security.
Provide expert support for database-related issues, troubleshooting and resolving any problems that arise.
Work closely with other DBAs and IT teams to optimize database performance and implement best practices.
Participate in the planning and execution of database upgrades, migrations, and other projects.
Adhere to ITIL processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Competitive daily rate of £700 (umbrella).
