The opportunity:
It's an exciting time to join as our business grows, and we are looking for a versatile Content Manager to join our Marketing team, (3 days in the office / 2 days working from home). The role can be based at either our London, Leeds or Manchester office but will involve occasional travel as required.
The UK Marketing team is a high-performing, creative team dedicated to delivering innovative, tailored insurance solutions for over 1 million UK customers - ranging from tech providers to charities. As part of our ambitious growth strategy, we're expanding to unlock exciting new opportunities. Now, we need a passionate, strategic Content Manager to help take our brand to the next level.
This role is more than just about content creation-it's about leadership, vision, and driving real results. You'll be leading the way, recruiting and managing a Content Marketing Executive as part of your growing team. As Content Manager, you'll craft and implement strategies, collaborate with brilliant colleagues, and position yourself at the forefront of our people-first brand's success in a business that values marketing as a core growth driver.
What you'll be doing:
Lead content strategy: collaborate with the head of marketing services and marketing managers to develop and deliver content strategies that resonate with our audiences and align with our ambitious goals
Build & lead your team: recruit, mentor, and manage a content marketing executive, ensuring high-quality work and a creative, motivated team atmosphere
Create impactful content: produce engaging, customer-focused content including blog posts, web pages, video scripts, speeches, and presentations, for inbound and outbound marketing
Event support: shape content for corporate events, handling everything from pre-event promotions to post-event follow-ups, to increase audience engagement
Editorial leadership: own and run the editorial content plan, ensuring multimedia content is strategically reused across our distribution channels
Collaborate for success: build strong relationships with the wider marketing team, agencies, and copywriters to ensure our key themes and messages are amplified across all platforms
PR & brand building: work with the pr agency to raise brand visibility and enhance our reputation across distribution channels
Innovate constantly: stay ahead of emerging content marketing trends, bringing fresh, innovative ideas to keep us competitive
Measure & report: track performance through monthly reporting and analysis, providing valuable insights to senior leadership
Ensure compliance: lead content and communication activities in line with regulatory requirementsOur must haves:
Previous content experience, ideally with a consistent record of delivering successful content strategies
Leadership skills with the ability to recruit, lead, and inspire a Content Marketing Executive, fostering a high-performing and creative team
Excellent writing and editing abilities with a talent for sourcing compelling stories and delivering impactful messages
A natural ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while working both independently and as part of a team
Strong experience handling third-party agencies and partners, combined with excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
A passion for continuous improvement, with the aim to stay on top of content marketing trends and apply them to our strategyWhat's in it for you:
