Job Title: Supply Chain and Governance Technician
Location: Oxfordshire, UK
Hourly Pay: £26/hour inside IR35
Role Overview:
- A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work at the heart of UK Defence on the exciting A400M Programme. This role directly supports critical operations, including humanitarian missions and global tasks.
- As part of the Business Operations Office, you will work alongside senior leaders in a dynamic environment, gaining invaluable experience that can serve as a springboard for your career. Responsibilities:
- Prepare Requests for Quotes and ensure sourcing aligns with the appropriate codes and buying policies.
- Manage procurement orders for consumables and general items.
- Create internal purchasing requirements in SAP and convert them into purchase requisitions and orders.
- Post Goods Receipts in SAP and ensure timely invoice payments.
- Monitor purchase orders and maintain internal records.
- Generate Procurement KPIs and reports.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal requestors to resolve issues.
- Support supplier performance management and improvement activities.
- Assist finance staff with budgetary control and procurement forecasts.
- Optimize stock levels through effective planning in SAP.
- Address late commitments, parked, and blocked invoices.
- Support the update of Procurement Procedures and lead orderbook meetings.
Skill Set:
- Over 3 years of experience in Procurement/Supply Chain.
- Proficiency in SAP.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office tools.
- Negotiation-level English (verbal and written).
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
