IT Service Desk Engineers (L1/L2/L3) - Brussels, Belgium

Looking for:

  • Service Desk Engineer Datacenter: VMWare + storage (+knowledge of networking)
  • Service Desk Engineer Networking: Alcatel
  • Service Desk Engineer OM: for example knowledge of Nimsoft: network monitoring software
  • Service Desk Engineer Security: Checkpoint and Fortinet focus
  • For the service desk engineer we need French or Dutch with a good understand of the other language as well as fluency in English

Languages: ENGLISH with FRENCH and/or DUTCH

Description of work:

  • Follow-up of our customer's incidents and problems until resolution.
  • First/second line diagnostics and in-depth technical troubleshooting.
  • Follow-up with our ticketing system.
  • Escalation call logging and follow-up with vendors and other 3rd party companies.
  • Correct escalation procedures on all critical customer calls and requests.
  • Liaises with the helpdesk and consultants to ensure swift resolution of faults.
  • Operate in medium complexity environments and be responsible for ensuring the timely restoration of service for clients by managing requests (Incidents, Service Requests, Monitoring Events) through to successful completion.
  • Receive, validate and log client requests.
  • Conduct regular follow up on call progress by tracking requests and determine current activity on it, providing regular feedback on progress.
  • Analyse and interpret the requests to ensure that the classification. prioritization and escalation of the requests are correct.
  • Ensure the correct escalation procedure is followed on all critical calls and requests.
  • Ensure that all relevant documents related to the fault are maintained.
  • Provide updates and ensure that clients are aware of the actions that are being undertaken on their behalf.
  • Coordinate and plan small to medium size implementation projects.
  • 24/7 support.
  • Design, implement and assist in demo's and proof of concepts for end customers.
