Network HR have been retained to appoint a Senior Payroll Manager (UK and Europe) for a leading, city-based Fintech business with over 30 years of market leading heritage. Payroll is the cornerstone of the HR function, and this role requires a competent and experienced Payroll professional to ensure the smooth-running and continual evolution of this area.
The Senior Payroll Manager will report into the HR Director and will manage one direct report. The sole responsibility will be to manage the payroll process with their global payroll provider (ADP) for approximately 700 employees across the UK and Europe. The Senior Payroll Manager will be required to make a meaningful and welcomed contribution to the collegiate and friendly culture of the department, in addition to owning and improving Payroll as their function areas of expertise. Other responsibilities will include:
Payroll
First point of contact for all payroll matters
Manage the regional payroll process with their global payroll provider ADP and its partners.
Ensure agreed payroll sign off process is followed. Escalate any sign off issues with Group HRD
Manage access to payroll provider portal and manage relationship with ADP.
Submit necessary documents to authorities and various providers (monthly employee data report submission to the Flex benefits provider in the UK, monthly healthcare and pension reconciliation and submission in most countries and tax in each country), comply with requirements (like RTI in the UK) and ensure payment when require.
Reconcile payroll output to input and raise any queries.
Ensure all payroll documentation/ registration and statutory reporting is accurate and kept up to date
Year-end reconciliation and submission of necessary documentations to employees and organisations.
Support the annual audit process where necessary.
Work closely with the Head of HRIS and other team members to identify improvements in processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Benefits
Manage the administration of benefits provided in the UK and Europe.
Support the Group Head of HR with benefits renewal and manage the flex system renewal 2x a year
Ensure communication is given to new participants in the Flex system.
Reporting and ad Hoc projects
Prepare data for the Board report on a quarterly basis.
Prepare Finance Forecast and Reforecast submission.
What will you need to be successful?
Proven experience in running Payroll and Benefits across the UK and European regions
ADP experience is mandatory and generally adept with systems and MI
Experience of adopting a strategic view of payroll and benefits to enhance colleague experience
Experience in the financial services sector would be advantageous but not mandatory
A relaxed, professional and enjoyable personality style that would complement the current team dynamic
Excellent communication skills to maintain stakeholder engagement and build credibility with stakeholders
