Client Manager/Project Manager - Documentation & Training sector

Our global Technology Services client is looking for a Client/Project Manager with experience of the technical publications, and/or eLearning/training sectors, to join their fast-growing Project Support team.

Working closely with the Operations, Sales and Project delivery teams, on three continents, you will have two distinct areas of responsibility.

In the client management role you will ensure excellent customer service and client satisfaction.

In this part of the job you will:

  • Build strong relationships with customers,
  • Identify and develop business growth areas,
  • Lead customer reviews,
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure accurate forecasting,
  • Resolve complaints/issues,
  • Understand customer goals - and how documentation & training industry innovations can help achieve those goals.

In the Project Management role you will deliver projects on time, on budget, and to the agreed quality.

This will cover:

  • Management of multiple projects,
  • Developing project quotes (working with subject matter leads),
  • Work with resource managers to assign appropriate project resources,
  • Managing project schedules and delivery,
  • Working with global customers and global resources,
  • Managing projects to develop documentation and/or training,
  • Vendor and resource management.

Ideally educated to degree level, and with at least 3 years client and project management experience, you must also have:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
  • Strong client facing skills, including good negotiation skills,
  • Ability to work in multicultural team environments, across a diverse set of projects with multiple stakeholders,
  • Good Microsoft Office suite skills, particularly Excel,
  • Good project management process knowledge,
  • A proactive approach to problem solving,
  • Risk analysis skills.

Additional competencies could include:

  • Sales or Business development experience,
  • Financial experience,
  • Experience of documentation &/or training industry,
  • Prince2, PMI or equivalent qualifications,
  • Software/hardware development cycle awareness,
  • Understanding of localisation cycles.
