Overview
We are seeking a User Experience Designer to join our clients team in London. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of engaging, accessible products and an excellent user experience to our global customer base of academic institutions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct user experience research to understand user journeys and needs
- Translate research findings into clear designs and documentation
- Produce designs to assist with user research, internal discussion, and presentations to stakeholders
- Work on continuous improvement of interface design, basic UX writing, usability testing, and interaction flows
- Collaborate with Editorial leads and Product Managers on new product proposals
- Analyze web usage data to optimize user journeys
- Ensure compliance with established and emerging accessibility criteria
- Identify improvements to the team's processes and workflow
- Promote the importance of User Experience within the wider company
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience of user experience work
- Ability to understand the specific needs of a varied user base
- Cross-functional team collaboration, including stakeholder management
- Proactive, "can-do" attitude, with a keen curiosity and willingness to learn
- Excellent eye for nuance and a logical, problem-solving approach
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and visual)
Day-to-day
The User Experience Designer will collaborate closely with the Product Management and Technology teams, developing, evaluating, and iterating the user experience together. They will also work on a programme of continuous improvement, encompassing interface design within a tested and established design language, basic UX writing, usability testing, and interaction flows.
