Role - Technical Writer.
Duration - 6 months with likely extension
Location - Hybrid / Canary Wharf - 3 days per week in a Canary Wharf office
Rate - £350 per day (Inside IR35)
MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO READ AND UNDERSTAND CODE
Tasks -
Producing technical documents for applications developed by the development team. Including guiding the development team in understanding business requirements, application architectures, UI design concepts, business data, legal requirements and internal procedures by working closely with programmers and Management.
This position covers all documents across software development life cycle (i.e. business specification, technical specification, system details, database object (table) descriptions, test support manuals, system operation manuals, system maintenance details, system support history record, knowledge encyclopaedia, general internal procedure manuals).
Where there is documentation already compiled by internal Programmers, to provide guidance (using Business knowledge) to update the existing documentation for ease of understanding and make sure to be up to date.
Guiding the development team to understand "Change Management Control procedures" getting approval for any updates in production systems and "Maintenance reports" for QA, Release and Development environments.
Facilitating sessions for developers to familiarise them with existing applications and business processes, tailored for both new hires and existing development team members.GCS is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy
