Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager for a 6-month contract to oversee and deliver key IT projects in Anderlecht. This role requires a proactive individual with strong leadership and communication skills, fluent in both French and Dutch, and capable of working in a hybrid environment. The successful candidate will have proven experience in IT project management, particularly in application development and IT infrastructure, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Delivery: Prepare detailed project plans, ensuring the delivery of the assigned projects meets schedule, budget, scope, and quality requirements.
  • Governance & Steerco: Establish governance structures and prepare Steerco meetings with key stakeholders.
  • Timeline & Milestones: Define and track project timelines and milestones, ensuring successful execution.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Proactively manage risks and issues related to project delivery, proposing mitigation strategies when necessary.
  • Scope Clarification: Clarify high-level project scope and identify technical synergies between sub-projects.
  • Standards Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to established standards and best practices.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a team of internal staff and external contractors, providing leadership and guidance.
  • Technical Solutions: Be proactive in proposing technical solutions and innovations.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present progress reports, identifying risks and issues to the customer, program manager, and relevant stakeholders.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Promote project management activities through constructive networking and foster active communication with various stakeholders.
  • Conflict Management: Address and resolve both technical and non-technical conflicts within the project.
  • Operational Functionality: Facilitate the operational efficiency of project teams and stakeholders.
  • Role Definition: Define the roles and responsibilities of the project teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Change Management: Continuously follow up on change requests and customer feedback, ensuring that deliverables meet expectations.
  • Team Coaching & Development: Provide coaching and training to the project team, fostering a productive and supportive environment.

Technical Requirements

  • Educational Background: Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of IT project management experience, particularly in application development (eg, JAVA environments) and IT infrastructure.
  • Project Management Certification: Certified in PRINCE2, PMI, or equivalent by experience.
  • Agile Expertise: Strong understanding and experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of IT infrastructure and development environments.

Non-Technical Requirements

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Multi-Tasking: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • Self-Starter: Quick learner with a motivated, results-driven mindset.
