Overview:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting the Director of Finance and Assistant Director of Finance in maintaining accurate and timely financial resporting; ensuring acceptable levels of internal control; ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and InnVentures Hotels Standard Operating Procedures; and safeguarding owners/investors assets.

Responsibilities:

Review of deposits and nightly sales postings

Weekly review of accounts payable for expense coding and corresponding check runs

Reconcile account balances monthly; identifying outstanding items, researching and resolving issues that arise

Draft monthly financial statements for multiple properties

Follow-up on outstanding items that come up during financial statement review

Complete owners and auditors requests for information

Process credit applications as they arise

Interact well with immediate team members and hotel personnel

Qualifications:

Basic understanding of accounting (assets and liabilities)

Proficient in Microsoft Office (excel and word)

Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time

Effective communication skills

Accounting degree or equivalent experience preferred

Salary Range: $25-$28.85/hour
