Overview:

Founded in 1926 Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center is a 334-bed acute care nonprofit community hospital located in Glendale California. The hospital offers a full complement of services including its award winning heart center the colorectal surgery institute a gastrointestinal program and is a Los Angeles County approved primary stroke center. Responsibilities:

Responsible for the oversight of the Diabetes Program. Assesses and educates patients. Oversees the appropriate data collection. Develops educational programs and strategies to meet goals of the department and hospital.



Qualifications:

Two years’ experience educating diabetic patients in an outpatient or clinic setting.

Three years’ experience teaching diabetic patients. Experience in a leadership position in a diabetes outpatient or clinic setting

Bachelor’s degree in Foods & Nutrition or Dietetics.

Registered Dietitian.

Diabetes Educator Certification.

Bachelor’s degree in Foods & Nutrition Dietetics. Diabetes Educator Certification.

Masters Degree in Public Health or related field or Board Certified-Advanced Diabetes Management preferred.

Licensure:

RDN and CDCES CT EOC; RG DIETCN CDCES BC-ADM
