Postdoctoral Fellow Position in Moyamoya Research

We have an opening for a highly motivated postdoc/research scientist to join the research laboratory of Dr Gary Steinberg. The successful candidate will study moyamoya disease and the underlying mechanisms using genetic and biological approaches, with moyamoya patient samples and in vitro models such as induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs).

Requirements

Applicant qualifications

The applicant must have a PhD or MD/PhD in a relevant subject area.

Be self-motivated, have good communication skills (both oral and written), and the ability to work independently as well as cooperatively with a team.

Applicant should be knowledgeable in cerebrovascular diseases, vascular biology and/or immunology.

Expertise with induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) and in vitro cell culture experiences are required.

Experience with differentiating endothelial and vascular smooth muscle cells and organoids is highly desirable.

Experience in transcriptomic analysis, molecular biology, and flow cytometry would be an asset.
