Simeon Global Consulting is seeking an Incident Commander responsible for leading and coordinating response efforts during emergencies and incidents, ensuring effective management of resources and personnel to safeguard lives, property, and the environment. This role requires a deep understanding of incident command protocols, emergency management principles, and leadership in high-stress situations. The Incident Commander will collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and organizational procedures.

Key Responsibilities: 

Incident Response Management: Lead the response to emergencies, ensuring proper coordination and deployment of resources. 

Resource Allocation: Oversee and manage personnel and equipment in alignment with operational objectives. 

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement incident action plans, defining goals and strategies for managing incidents effectively. 

Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, including local agencies, federal partners, and public representatives. 

Post-Incident Review: Conduct post-incident evaluations and ensure lessons learned are documented and implemented. 

Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to safety regulations and protocols during response operations. 

Requirements

Qualifications: 

ICS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, and 800 certifications are required. 

5+ years of experience in emergency response, incident command, or related field. 

Strong understanding of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command System (ICS) protocols. 

Excellent leadership and decision-making skills in high-pressure environments. 

Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse teams and stakeholders. 

Ability to work long hours and adapt to rapidly changing environments. 

Preferred Skills: 

Experience with managing large-scale incidents or disasters. 

Previous experience in public safety, emergency management, or related sectors. 

Knowledge of federal and state emergency response regulations. 

Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills. 

Additional Qualifications: 

Must be at least 18 years old.  

Must be eligible to work in the United States. 

Must reside in the state of Florida. 

Must pass a background check upon offer of employment.  

Must be willing and able to travel to various work sites as needed. 

Must be willing and able to work long hours and adapt to changing environments.
