Job Description
This purpose of this position is to be a designated trainer for plant personnel with knowledge in machinery, paperwork, GMP’s, production quality procedures and other areas as needed.
New Hire Training including – tour, operation of machinery, safety follow up, sanitation applicable to position etc.
Training of hourly employees – new and existing – as needed
New Hire Checklist Management
Participate in New Hire Orientation
Create, Maintain and Update SOP’s
Attend scheduled safety and GMP meetings
Assist new hires as a “mentor” during the first 30 days as needed
Training of Lead Employees
Training of Temp Employees (tour, intro to team, intro to line and procedure)
Evaluate Temps and New Hires using Performance Worksheets
Administrative Duties related to Production
On the job training as needed
Adhere to cross training schedule and update management regularly
Work with management to update cross training schedule to include new employees after probationary period
Make recommendations to management based on employee skills/abilities for promotional or cross training opportunities
Coach and support leads – leadership, communication, and training
Competencies
Must be highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
Must have good problem-solving skills
Must be detail oriented
