Overview:
The successful candidate is expected to be self-motivated (with a very supportive team!) and work autonomously, while aligning with overall business goals and objectives and sharing working towards shared goals. Effective communication and the ability to collaborate with team members across borders is essential. Being organized and demonstrating interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills will be key in your success.
Responsibilities:
Generalist:
Coordinate and provide administrative support on all HR matters including, but not limited to, recruitment, training, benefits, retirement pension plan, employee relations, and performance management
In partnership with HR team members, monitor, respond to and escalate emails from HR inbox to senior team members as necessary
Serve as a key contact for employee inquiries concerning policies, procedures, benefits, and employee programs
Maintain HR content on Intranet page and ensure updated content, documents and resources are reflected within 48 hours of finalization
Coordinate and schedule meetings and where relevant provide meeting minutes to attendees
Update and maintain data in HRIS systems
Update HR Initiatives schedule in collaboration with other team members as progression is made
Keeps abreast of industry trends and information; maintains HR knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
Assists with the company-wide communications involving wellness, training, health and safety, culture and engagement
Assist global offices with Anniversary, and Birthday recognitions
Benefits:
Add new hires to benefit plan in a timely manner and email digital benefit card
Conduct monthly benefit presentation to new hires
Ensure all new hires have reviewed benefits training in AYU within two weeks of start date
Assist with coordination of weekly communication relating to the Mental Health initiative or other HR programs and assist with administration of the wellness programs
Qualifications:
Completion of post-secondary education with a focus in Human Resources; Preference for Human Resources Professional Designation (or in progress)
3 years of experience in a Generalist capacity
HRIS (ADP or similar) and reporting software experience.
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using AVERAGE,VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP functions, merging and centering cells, printing centered page and/or creating a pivot table).
Experience altering variables and criteria in queries to generate reports.
Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of Human Resources legislation
Possess the ability to work with a high degree of confidentiality
Experience in Real Estate is considered an asset
Ability to handle priorities and to work effectively in a challenging, fast-paced environment
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to completion.
