This role will work a hybrid schedule averaging three days in the office and two days from home plus ten work From anywhere days, in the U.S. only, provided annually.  This is on top of vacation, holidays and personal days.

Sodexo is seeking a Accounting Analyst for the Healthcare and Seniors Segment Support and other segments as required as part of the Finance Shared Services Segment Support team.

This Accounting Analyst will:

Establish and maintain accounting policies and controls, fiscal controls, preparing financial reports and safeguarding the organizations assets. 

Provide guidance to department staff. 

Support or lead department on cross-functional initiatives. 

Provide guidance on contract interpretation and escalation issues. 

Be a specialist in this area of accounting function.

We are looking for candidates who will be able to:

Prepare financial statements, journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations in accordance to GAAP, IFRS, and other regulatory requirements. Ensures timely resolution of issues.

Coordinate various financial close cycle activities.

Analyze operating and financial statement information and prepare reporting for Senior Leadership.

Perform variance analysis to determine root cause, make recommendations for improvement of performance or operating efficiencies.

Track and monitor key performance indicators (KPI) and associated metrics over a specified time period, and compare against acceptable norms, past performance or targets.

Recommend action to improve performance or operating efficiencies (process improvement).

Lead special accounting projects including analysis and testing of new systems

Analyze KPIs and communicates analysis/insights to leadership. Where applicable, incumbent will execute/implement agreed decisions.

Assist with issue resolution to reduce exposure and ensure compliance.

Provide support for various internal and external audits and recommend corrective actions or mitigating controls.

Interpret and advise on client contracts and their relationship to related systems & desired outcomes.

Provide subject matter expertise for client contracts, vendor contracts, industry knowledge, accounting and related systems and applications.

Lead internal & external audits of financial systems and fiscal results.

Assist with Special Projects and New Systems, Leadership and Training, and Process and Control.

Preferred Minimum Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred in Accounting, Finance or Management

Travel as required (minimal) 

3-4 years related accounting experience
