Role Summary:

Free People Movement is looking for someone to join the team to support the daily operational functions within your buying area; to ensure timely delivery of merchandise through consistent communication and follow-up with the vendors, the distribution center and the buying team; and to develop key cross functional relationships with the distribution center, vendors and production.  Successful candidates will have the potential to advance into key areas such as buying, planning or operations.

Role Responsibilities:

 SKU creation and maintenance and GTIN management

 Entering, updating, managing, tracking, and organizing purchase orders in all systems (MTS, IP and Blue Cherry) to ensure timely delivery

 Ensure timely delivery of merchandise through tracking and monitoring of receipts communicating changes to Buying and Planning teams and updating tracking systems

 DC communication and follow up on POs

 Manage and execute RTV’s, Retickets, Price Changes, etc. in coordination w/ Buying and Planning teams.

 Manage receipts alongside the OTB availability, ensuring class is not overbought and collaborating with planning/buying when shifting orders/receipts.

 Manage DTC flags, HAZMAT and shipping restrictions.

 Coordinating time sensitive deliveries for events and seasonal setups.

 Facilitate and assist in corrections and adjustments to invoices with Accounts Payable team.

 Work in conjunction with Vendor Relations to onboard new vendors, manage compliance and monitor/issue chargebacks.

 Work in synergy with Buying, Planning and Allocation teams toward common goals for the merchandise area.

 Become an expert in your product assortment and a source of information for team on product launches and sample locations

 Request presentation samples of all items on order (for PR, web photo, meetings) and ensure they are timely, organized, prioritized and present upon request/ problems with availability are addressed pro-actively or immediately

Role Qualifications:

 Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills

 Ability to learn quickly and to retain information. Must be analytical and be able to comprehend how multiple systems interact

 Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – emphasis on Excel, Outlook & Power Point

 Excellent Time Management skills

 High sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple priorities

 Attention to detail and follow-through projects to completion in a fast-paced work environment with sense of urgency

 Suggests opportunities for process improvement, greater organization or efficiency

 Display the ability to find work and offers to help teammates during down time or crunch time

 Prior experience in retail inventory software is a plus

 Customer Service or prior retail experience is a plus
