Overview:

The Sr. Manager, Sales & Marketing Applications is an Information Technology (IT) professional who will provide technical oversight for all applications used by the Sales, Marketing, Sales Operations and Customer Service departments within the company. This role will lead a team of IT professionals and third party services that maintain existing applications, as well as collaborate to introduce enhanced functionality within the Sales & Marketing Applications area of the company’s application portfolio. This role interfaces with internal customers and business sponsors at a corporate and business unit level in order to establish business requirements related to the acquisition and/or development and implementation of business systems and enhancements. This role reports directly to the Senior Director, Enterprise Applications.

Responsibilities:

The Sr. Manager, Sales & Marketing Applications will oversee all technical activities required to support the Sales & Marketing Applications within the company:Analyzes complex business needs presented by the user community and/or clients and recommends technical solutions

Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions

Directs operations in executing production tasks according to a documented schedule that meets or exceeds customer expectations

Produces detailed time line for each application release and implements effective project control by monitoring the progress of the software release and reporting the status

Directs and prioritizes the work load of subordinate personnel

Reviews all designs, code and unit test plans where applicable

Ensures all business requirements are reviewed and approved prior to technical development

Participates on all relevant hardware and software evaluations and maintains vendor contracts

Represents the IT function at customer review meetings when appropriate

Directs education programs for her/his staff

Perform liaison duties between users, operations, and programming personnel in the areas of systems and application design, modifications or trouble shooting

Performs salary administration, performance evaluations and conducts interviews and makes recommendations for new hires, consultants and/or replacement personnel

Participates in business strategy discussions and determines potential IT contributions in delivering the business plans

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related discipline preferred

Minimum of 10 years of experience working within IT and/or a similar applications-focused role with at least 4 years managing technology activities associated with Sales & Marketing Applications

Strong leadership, project management skills, time management, and problem solving skills

KNOWLEDGEThe Sr. Manager, Sales & Marketing Applications must have in-depth knowledge and experience of the following:

Solid understanding of the (url removed) platform including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and AppExchange. Experience in supporting Servicemax or Salesforce Field Service is a plus.

Experience with website technologies

Understanding of EDI processes is a plus

Proven experience in IT Management or similar role

Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT Applications and their specifications

Knowledge and experience with system integration tools, as well as supporting internal and external integrations

Experience in controlling information technology budget

Knowledge of and exposure to Sales & Marketing processes

Experience within the industrial manufacturing industry is a plus
