Overview:

The Cashier at Smoky Mountain Smash in Gatlinburg Skypark will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling transactions accurately, and ensuring a smooth flow of operations at the cash register. The ideal candidate will be friendly, reliable, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Customer Service:

  - Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere.

  - Assist customers with menu selections and answer any questions regarding the offerings.

  - Provide information about current promotions and special deals.

- Cash Handling:

  - Accurately process customer orders and handle cash transactions.

  - Operate the cash register and ensure correct pricing.

  - Issue receipts, refunds, and change to customers.

  - Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts.

- Order Management:

  - Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.

  - Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.

  - Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally, seeking assistance from the manager when necessary.

- Cleanliness and Maintenance:

  - Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the cash register, counter, and dining area.

  - Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a sanitary environment.

  - Restock and organize inventory as needed.

- Team Collaboration:

  - Work closely with other team members to ensure efficient service.

  - Participate in team meetings and training sessions.

  - Assist with other duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications:

- Education and Experience:

  - High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  - Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is an asset.

- Skills:

  - Strong numerical and cash handling skills.

  - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  - Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.

- Personal Attributes:

  - Friendly and approachable demeanor.

  - Reliable and punctual.

  - Ability to handle stressful situations calmly.

Working Conditions:

- Must be able to stand for extended periods.
