About the Role 

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory and Product Stewardship Manager to lead our efforts in ensuring regulatory compliance is met within a global market within the ag-bio sector. The Regulatory and Product Stewardship Manager will report into the VP of Product (US) and be responsible for ensuring that our products meet all relevant, national, and international regulations, while also implementing strategies for the safe and responsible use of our microbial technology. They will be a key member of Loam's global management team, shaping the company's approach to regulatory compliance and product safety. This position requires a leader who possesses in-depth regulatory expertise, a proven track record of managing compliance projects, and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet our regulatory and product stewardship goals.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with all relevant local, national, and international regulations related to our agricultural products and technologies. 

Stay up-to-date with evolving regulatory requirements and communicate these changes to the team. 

Develop and implement product stewardship strategies to ensure the safe and responsible use of our microbial technology in all geographies. This includes overseeing product safety assessments, labelling, and handling guidelines. 

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to regulatory compliance and product stewardship. 

Prepare reports for regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders as needed. 

Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards associated with our products and technologies. 

Implement risk mitigation strategies to protect the environment and public health.

Work closely with cross-functional global teams, including research and development, marketing, and legal, to integrate regulatory and product stewardship considerations into product development and marketing initiatives. 

Identify opportunities for process improvements and best practices in regulatory compliance and product stewardship. 

Establish structures and templates for Loam’s Quality Management System

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of these functions.

Contribute to a productive, positive, constructive team environment and support the wider team in achieving their goals.

Requirements

BS/BA Degree in a Scientific Discipline, Advanced Degree preferred.

4 years agricultural Regulatory USDA experience in a supportive role, or equivalent industry experience. (e.g., Agricultural Development, Analytical Development, Production, Quality Assurance).

Understanding of scientific principles and regulatory USDA and US state requirements relevant microbial development and post-market support.

Ability to understand, apply, and articulate regulatory USDA and U.S. state requirements for global microbial development and post-market support initiatives required.

Project management skills to oversee and coordinate various USDA activities

Experience in the formulation design, scale-up, and launch of biological products 

A good understanding of the regulations relating to the products above

Experience in the manufacturing processes used for agrochemical products
