Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Post Surgical Unit

Location: Coos Bay, Oregon

Shift Type: Varied

Shift Notes:

Day Shift or Night Shift available

12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)

80 hours per two-week pay period

Hourly Pay Rate: $41.00 - $63.00/hour (based on experience)

Job Overview:

The Registered Nurse - Post Surgical Unit (PSU) is responsible for applying the nursing process to the care of patients within the scope of practice defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing. This includes patient education, documenting care in the medical record, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care. This role requires adaptability and critical thinking in a fast-paced post-surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Apply nursing process to patient care and effectively teach patients and families.

Document all patient care in the electronic medical record system.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.

Respond efficiently to patient crises and emergency situations.

Demonstrate effective prioritization and adaptability in a dynamic environment.

Regularly attend shifts and maintain punctuality in assigned job duties.

Skills and Abilities:

Proficiency in reading, writing, and verbal communication in English.

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Effective teaching and communication skills.

Ability to respond swiftly to emergencies and patient crises.

Proficient in using computers and electronic medical record systems.

Demonstrate punctual and consistent attendance.

State License Requirements:
